I dropped my bike off at Glacier Cycles yesterday. They said they were very busy (they were telling people it could take a week for most work) so they might not complete the work on my bike until later today. On that basis, I needed to stay another day. Since my WS hosts were leaving for a camping trip today, Janet made a reservation for me (and it wasn’t easy) in a great hotel. The bike shop finished the work on my bike around 2:00 pm today so I had a very relaxing afternoon walking around Whitefish. I’ll leave early tomorrow for the first of my last two days of mountain climbing in the west!
The only photo I will include are the awesome bike short tan lines I have acquired in the first two weeks:
Nice tan line! Hope your mountain climbs go well! Xoxo

Thanks sweetheart- with rested legs, new tires and somewhat lower gearing, I think it will go fine!
I love you!

Well, Dave, as I lie here in my warm and cosy bed I am catching up on your progress so far. Really impressed. I snuggle down as I think of the wet, cold days in the mountains that you have endured so far and think that maybe I would have been tempted to rest up for a month had I been you! Where will you spend your BIRTHDAY? Sending good wishes your way. Looks like easier riding is ahead. Love Veronica.

After a day of rest, I am ready to start riding again! I should be around Chester, MT for my birthday- perhaps I’ll get a tailwind for my birthday.

It’ll take a year to undo those tan lines, ha!

Hi Dave, I’ve been enjoying your blog. I love the pictures and hearing about the people you meet along the way. I feel a little guilty as I’m icing my knees after threes hours of poorly played tennis. You make me feel like such an underachiever. Keep rolling buddy. Your old team is watching and cheering you on.
All the best,
Julia B.
