Today was a little longer, a little cooler, fewer hills, faster pace and way more food and drink. It was overcast much of the day which was very nice. I had alternate quartering headwinds and quartering tailwinds. And I ate and drank a lot today! I consumed, in no particular order, peach pie a la mode, apple pie a la mode, a huge peanut butter cookie/banana ice cream sandwich, lemonade (with and without vodka), a breakfast burrito, pork burger, corn on the cob, gatorade, coffee and an Iowa craft beer. All in about 5 1/2 hours. Spaghetti dinner tonight at the Methodist Church- Woo Hoo! I rode for about 15 miles with a man that works for the fed, and has worked for the fed for 20+ years. We had a great conversation.

Well, the food is absolutely worth the effort! I like the cool weather. How do you feel about the crowds?

Great ride and great pictures. Your Garmin stats looked good. I love all the people, their bikes, the scenery and the colors. I can’t imagine eating all that stuff. Hope you are sleeping well. Cheers, Ken
