I slept great last night in a Warm Showers (WS) barn between Mazama and Winthrop. I handwashed all my clothed and they were, of course, soaking wet in the morning. So I just bungee them to my bike and tske off with my laundry flapping in the wind. My legs were tired today but felt stronger as I rode. Learning from yesterday, I had lunch, two bottles of gatorade, 4 bottles of water and some salty protein snacks to help me tackle the 3,000′ climb. I handled Loup Loup pass like Lance Armstrong (but without blood transfusions) and feel good after today’s 55 miles. It is much hotter and drier the further east I go. Tonight I am staying in a WS house in Omak- I did my laundry in a washing machine and it is actually drying outside on a clothesline! I am also sleeping in a bed tonight! And we picked peaches, apricots and plums off their trees to eat and to make ice cream- Life is good!
Starting off with wet laundry:
Okanogan Washington- I rolled through about 2:00 pm and thought about 100 miles north our good Canadian friends Don & Susan and Al & Michelle might be having a cold beer around then..
I lol’d at your Lance Armstrong comment! Glad you’re feeling good and eating good ice cream! ❤️
